Ann Obeney is vice president of corporate engagement and international relations for Hunt Consolidated, Inc. In this role she assists with external communications for the Hunt companies. She also plays a key role in coordinating Hunt Global Partnerships, Hunt's corporate social responsibility program that creates partnerships with not-for-profit entities, local residents and local, state and federal governments to produce sustainable projects that enhance the quality of life of the residents and communities where Hunt operates.
Obeney joined Hunt in 2005, as the communications manager for Hunt Power's MeterSmart. In that role, she was responsible for external advertising and marketing programs in the energy efficiency and automated meter space. Prior to joining Hunt in 2005, she worked as a consultant for Dallas Area Rapid Transit's external communications department developing customer and stakeholder communications programs. She also worked for Burson-Marsteller, handling consumer communications campaigns for the Texas PUC's Power to Choose program, launching electric deregulation in Texas.
Obeney is an alumni of Leadership Dallas and received a bachelor of science degree in public relations from the University of Texas at Austin.
